Linux CLI

Installation

Download the Linux CLI binary from reforgesoftware.com:

tar -xzf reforge-linux-x64.tar.gz
sudo mv reforge /usr/local/bin/reforge
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/reforge
reforge --version

Requirements: Linux x64 (glibc 2.17+, e.g. Ubuntu 20.04, RHEL 8). The binary is self-contained — no separate .NET install required.

Licence activation

reforge license activate XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX --email user@example.com

The licence is stored at ~/.config/Reforge/license.dat.

Commands

All commands are identical to the Windows CLI. See Windows CLI for the full reference.

Examples:

# Convert
reforge convert illustration.cgm --output illustration.svg
reforge convert --profile s1000d ipc-001.cgm --output ipc-001.svg --validate
reforge convert --preset s1000d figure.cgm --output figure.svg

# Watch folder
reforge watch /mnt/incoming --output /mnt/converted --recursive

# Validate
reforge validate figure.cgm --profile s1000d

# Licence
reforge license status
reforge license deactivate
